Word Processors: A Tool for Teaching
I use Microsoft Word almost every day for all of my assignments.
I have been using it for several years, and I found that there are various functions that can be applied to in teaching as well.
Sometimes I use Google Doc as well, and the functions are actually pretty much the same as Microsoft Word.
These are skills that I am familiar with and I am going to use in my future teaching:

These are skills that I am familiar with and I am going to use in my future teaching:
Word ArtUsing word art in handouts is a very common way to catch students' attention, it would be effective even if the handout is printed in black and white.

Clip ArtUsing clip art helps students to get the idea or concept better especially when they don't really understand the topic. Also, it helps students to be more excited to learn.
|
Making CommentsIt helps teachers to make comments on students' homework easily especially when I have confusion or when there are no right or wrong answers. Students can make comments on my comments as well.
|
FormattingBy knowing various formatting options such as line spacing, margins, and columns can help teachers to prepare more organized Word documents as lesson materials.
On the other hand, teachers need to be familiar with the format in order to assign students to submit assignments as Word documents. It is necessary to set a format for students to follow so that teachers can know for sure that the students have met the requirment. |
